MenuPlan Privacy Policy

MenuPlan is developed by Northstave LLC (“Northstave,” “we,” “us”). This policy describes MenuPlan as it ships — what stays on your device, what (if anything) leaves it, and who can see it.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal information from MenuPlan. There is no Northstave account, no Northstave server, and no advertising or analytics SDK in the app. We do not sell your data.

• Content you create in the app is stored on your device. We cannot read it.
• iCloud. If you are signed into iCloud, MenuPlan may sync that content through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. That data is associated with your Apple ID. We do not have access to it. If the app lets you share with family, sharing happens inside Apple's iCloud between you and the people you invite — not through us.
• Diagnostics. If you opt in, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and performance reports with us through App Store Connect. These do not identify you. We do not ship a third-party crash or analytics SDK.

On-device AI

MenuPlan uses Apple Intelligence or other on-device models (Foundation Models, Vision) to provide its features. Prompts and results are processed on your device. We do not send your content to a hosted model, and we do not operate an AI API.

How we use data

Because your content stays on your device (or in your iCloud), it is used only to provide MenuPlan's features. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Third parties

MenuPlan relies on Apple platform services (iCloud, Siri). Your use of those services is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Some network requests happen only when you start them. MenuPlan fetches the address you chose, and nowhere else:

• fill in a recipe from a page you paste. These requests send only the URL you pasted.

Siri and Shortcuts

If you use Siri or Shortcuts with MenuPlan, those requests are handled by Apple on your device and through Apple's assistant infrastructure. We do not receive a transcript from Apple.

Purchases

MenuPlan offers an optional in-app purchase (MenuPlan Premium, $4.99 one-time unlock), processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment and billing are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your payment details.

Children

MenuPlan is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you remain in control of it. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. iCloud copies can be managed in your device's iCloud settings. Where MenuPlan stores user content, it offers a non-proprietary export so you can take your data with you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
