Askvault Privacy Policy

Askvault is developed by Northstave LLC (“Northstave,” “we,” “us”). This policy describes Askvault as it ships — what stays on your device, what (if anything) leaves it, and who can see it.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal information from Askvault. There is no Northstave account, no Northstave server, and no advertising or analytics SDK in the app. We do not sell your data.

• Content you create in the app is stored on your device. We cannot read it.
• iCloud. If you are signed into iCloud, Askvault may sync that content through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. That data is associated with your Apple ID. We do not have access to it.
• Diagnostics. If you opt in, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and performance reports with us through App Store Connect. These do not identify you. We do not ship a third-party crash or analytics SDK.

On-device AI

Askvault uses Apple Intelligence or other on-device models (Foundation Models, Vision) to provide its features. Prompts and results are processed on your device. We do not send your content to a hosted model, and we do not operate an AI API.

How we use data

Because your content stays on your device (or in your iCloud), it is used only to provide Askvault's features. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Third parties

Askvault relies on Apple platform services (iCloud, Camera). Your use of those services is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Askvault does not call third-party network services of its own.

Camera and photos

Askvault asks for Camera permission only when you use a feature that needs it. Photos and captures stay with your Askvault data (on device and, if enabled, in your iCloud). They are not uploaded to Northstave.

Purchases

Askvault offers an optional in-app purchase (Askvault unlock, $19.99 one-time), processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment and billing are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your payment details.

Children

Askvault is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you remain in control of it. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. iCloud copies can be managed in your device's iCloud settings. Where Askvault stores user content, it offers a non-proprietary export so you can take your data with you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
