Two apps. No accounts.

Two Northstave apps are live on the App Store. Both keep your data on your device. Neither one asks you to create an account, and neither one is a subscription.

MenuPlan

MenuPlan plans a week of meals with Apple Intelligence running on the iPhone — not on a server we run, and not on a server someone else runs. A built-in catalog of 2,000 recipes means it can build that first week before you have saved a single recipe of your own. Swap a meal, turn the week into a grocery list grouped by aisle, share the plan with family over your iCloud.

The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. That is the product.

TrailWeight

TrailWeight is a gear closet and pack-weight tracker for backpackers. Add items (from a searchable database, or by hand), build a pack list, and watch base weight, worn weight, and consumables add up. A shakedown points at the ounces worth cutting before you leave.

It works on the trail without a signal. If you want the same closet on a second device, it syncs through your iCloud, not through us.

What is the same about them

A stave is one of the strips of oak a cooper fits to make a barrel. The north star is the point you steer by. The apps are supposed to feel like that: carefully made, and pointed at one job.

The rules underneath both listings are the same ones we hold for everything else in the lineup:

  • Your content lives on your device. Sync, when it exists, is your iCloud.
  • No analytics SDK, no account, no Northstave server.
  • Free, or a single one-time unlock. Not $10 a month until you forget to cancel.

If you try either app and it is missing something obvious, tell us. The first real uses are how the next version gets decided.

More from the studio, including what is still in development, lives on the links page — the same URL we put in social bios, so it is ours instead of a linktree.
